Alpacasso Series Tags

Here is the example I made to show the Good Night series tags! Here are the guidelines for tag pictures to be added to the directory:

1) It’s preferred they have the original set of tags on any new alpacasso from that series. Some people find it helpful to know what additional papers tags a series has, as for series they would have three paper tags, while some only two or one. For example, good night only has two paper tags. Also it is OK if you no longer have the tags attached, just as long as you have the correct tags!

2) A shot of the paper tag(s) front and back! This is most important for the series tag to show the details on both sides. The bootlegs for the good night series has tags virtually identical save for the missing QR code!

3) A clear shot of the fabric tag as well. Many used alpacasso no longer have the paper tags so a shot of the fabric tag can be helpful. I got an easy shot with both the paper tag and tush tag, but you obviously can’t do this with the smaller sizes with the tags attached to the ball chain or elastic. That means using a bigger size alpacasso is preferred, but if you can make it work then it’s good! I didn’t feel the need to show the underside of the fabric tag but if you want to you can.

4) It is one picture but still readable, not too small. Have good lighting so everything is clear to see and even read. I just used a random online editor to add my two shots using a collage template to make one picture so I can easily link it in the directory!

Some points:
-I assume you are OK with me using them for the directory. You can add your username to the picture in the corner or something if you want! If not I'll still have it credited back to you (either your tumblr or your user here)
-For posts on the thread, I think this can act as like a little list as well for people to quick ctrl+f for a certain series, so simply adding the name of the series will make it easy to search.
-I would put a link to the full size picture and have a smaller version of it viewable here! If there's no restraint you put on the picture it just runs off the post border not viewable. Honestly you don't have to even post it as long as you link the full size.
-Perhaps a list of what series have been done is needed if you want to make sure no one has already done pictures of that series already! I still will probably add them if two people do the same series, but not more than that. People could also make a post claiming certain series and then edit later and add their pictures in.
-The duplicates will only be a problem if people only use tumblr or the forum and do not see people posting pictures on the other site. I might make the list and refer people to here to check if a series has been done/claimed if they don't want to do duplicates.

I'll try to keep this updated as a already done series list! If all else I'll have what's been done added to the directory already. I won't link the picture if someone posted it here already but I'll post mine/pictures from tumblr here.

Edit by Grace: Instead of a list of already done tags, I'm making an alphabetical list of tags we still need. Hopefully this is easier for everyone to read. Obviously strikes are tags that we already have photos for.

This is a great idea! I'll definitely be adding the tag photos to our Alpacasso Catalogue as well!

@Lumi those are all great! I just have two questions:

What is the nuku nuku series OvO? I've only seen that one closed-eye alpacasso and never stumbled on any other pictures or info on it (of course I missed another series orz)

And I'm pretty sure the square macaron tag is for the 2012 macaron, but which year is the different scallop tags?

Its hard to say for the scallop tags. There are at least three releases for the scallop, and no one I know knows for sure the years.

The Blue one I uploaded is later one, hence the QR sticker. I have another Blue tag without the sticker, and instead has a white tag. Ill upload that Blue one as well in a bit! (I think this is just a 16cm vs 50cm thing though?)


Pink Scallop tag I believe is from the very first Macaron (with the closed eyes and the beige) in 2011. there are at least 2 of these release, not sure on the date of the other ones.

Awesome thank you! However, the blue tags I believe are for the Macaron release with the Yellow in it, instead of the Biege. The Pink are for the one with the beige.

Oh yeah, good catch! I guess this verifies that there are two blue scallop releases, as well as two pinks! Thank you!! Another mystery solved I think now Im understanding that there are 3 scalloped releases before the square, and one after. (the 16cm in rosys shop)
