LoveJoJo has recently stated on her website that she only sells authentic Alpacasso products guaranteed and yet many of the ones at her stand and in some of her photos are fake. I can't be sure about all of them but I noticed that she actually turned around the blatantly fake ones in her latest Facebook pictures. It annoys me why she would guarantee it.
She just very recently did an overhaul of her website and the ones on her site now are authentic, but since she doesn't provide pictures of tags I'm still on the fence to believe some of the older ones she has. Still that cover photo from the 15th has a fake alpacasso poking from below right in front and if she still does have bootlegs at her booth at cons that's not right :/

I think she's trying to get rid of the bootlegs by giving them away as prizes. It seems her website's stock is authentic (although very highly priced). Maybe she's still trying to sell them at cons as authentic alpacas too, but that's just shady.

Plushie's Paradise used to sell alpacasso, but they went silent over a year ago and haven't updated since so we can only assume they're gone. ;o;

Re: Seller Whitelist and Blacklist
I know I am new here, but I just wanted to say that TofuCute is legitimate, it's a UK company based in Portsmouth and both customer service and quality of plushies are great. The shop usually sells the newer series of Alpacassos, and has the smaller ballchain and 16-8cm for sale-as well as a great selection of Japanese sweets.
The reason I know this is because she regularly attends MCM Comic Conventions in the UK and she prides herself on getting legitimate stock from amuse and as she's a small business I thought that she could do with the revenue. This kawaiitofucute is obviously a sham trying to rip off the original TofuCute.com

The problem with amuse products is that even the fake ones look real. Tofu Cute has written some information on youtube videos to say that they are the only company in Europe selling products directly from amuse.
Also, TofuCute are listed on the official Amuse page as main trading partners of Amuse.

I think that the other companies are just selling replicas from China.

Re: Seller Whitelist and Blacklist
Yeah some bootlegs are hard to spot, some have giveaways like wrong coloured labels and off faces-but you're right, some can be really difficult.
Everyone does have a right to be cautious about buying them from questionable sources. I tend to trust induvidual people who are selling their collections-they are more likely to be real if bought from a person who collects them too!
I'm glad Amuse has listed TofuCute as legit, I like her company.

Re: Seller Whitelist and Blacklist
Hi all, please can anyone say they've had alpacasso from either of these eBay sellers that have been genuine? I have been looking for a big yellow velvet ribbon llama, and to find them with ok shipping to the UK is hard...
kitsuneanime
egamestar
The listings have the right names and photos, but no photos of the llama you're getting... and no reply to messages asking for one but I guess that's not too unusual!
Thanks

Re: Seller Whitelist and Blacklist
Kitsuneanime is a legit seller, but egamestar is hard to tell because they only have those generic stock pictures several others use.Gantaeno wrote:Hi all, please can anyone say they've had alpacasso from either of these eBay sellers that have been genuine? Kinda OT but looking at a listing from egamestar part of their description sounded really familiar and then I realized they copied a small bit of my information from my FAQ @_@
Re: Seller Whitelist and Blacklist
Ouch, ok so looking less good for egamestar which is distressing as I realised that the other one only has the 16cm size guy so my options are dwindling
